Geoff Salmon, Corporate Secretary

Geoff Salmon’s corporate finance experience spans 13 years.  He spent 6 years at a seed capital fund, Innovation Ontario, investing in early stage businesses and 7 years in corporate finance with Trinity Capital and Northern Securities.  While at Innovation Ontario, Geoff sat on over 15 boards of emerging technology companies, advising on strategy, financing and executive human resource issues.

Over the span of his career, Mr. Salmon has worked with both private and public companies, assisting them with their capital needs.  He has been both an investor and investment banker for companies when raising capital.  He is therefore familiar with both sides of the negotiating table and the issues that businesses face in growing rapidly.

In addition to the above roles in the financial services industry, he ran the marketing communications for a $140 million IT and information services company with locations in Toronto and Boston for two years. 

Currently he is the Corporate Secretary for IRI responsible for preparing all the documentation required under the National Instrument 81-107 for IRI’s 12 clients. Mr. Salmon has a law degree from the University of Western Ontario and was called to the bar in 1978.
